In 1990 Black Tulip's first release on TINK! Records "Jam on it" was a well acclaimed club track reviewed in many international magazines and it reached a place in several dance charts. Black Tulip were pioneers of US Garage house in the Netherlands and teamed up with Wendell Morrison on lead vocals and Marian Rolle on backings both singers with the Salsoul label and Jocelyn Brown.
Wendell Morrison was born in New Jersey, USA. On his career he sang on records made by Coati Mundi, Inner Life, Jocelyn Brown, Loleatta Holloway, Arthur Baker, Culture Club, Bruce Springsteen and many other renowned artists.
Marian Rolle was born, raised and educated in Miami, USA. She studied singing, dance and drama. In the past Marian worked on numerous recordings with artists such as Jocelyn Brown and Divine.
Now released on Tomorrow Is Now Kid! with some of the original tracks and remixes by Tom Ruijg, Phonic Funk, Marko Roca, John Mood and Joseph Salvador. Release on January 28.
